HC Deb 09 December 1931 vol 260 c1845
16. Mr. STUART

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether the tea supplied to the Royal Air Force is wholly produced within the Empire; and, if not, whether he will ensure that only British Empire tea is purchased in future in order to support the Government's Buy British campaign?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for AIR (Sir Philip Sassoon)

All tea required for the Royal Air Force is bought by the War Department, and, as stated yesterday by my hon. Friend the Financial Secretary to the War Office, is of Empire origin.

Mr. MANDER

Does this apply to wine, too?
