HC Deb 09 December 1931 vol 260 c1846
19. Lieut.-Colonel HENEAGE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether he will reconsider the proposal to take over or exercise powers over part of the sand-hills or sands of Lincolnshire for bombing, machine gunning, or any other purpose, in view of the fact that the sand-hills and sands are used by the general public for recreation and amenities, and by the farmers and smallholders for grazing and agriculture?

Sir P. SASSOON

No scheme for taking over any land for these purposes in the neighbourhood mentioned will be approved without taking full account of all relevant considerations, including those referred to by my hon. and gallant Friend.
