Sir GEORGE HAMILTON (for Sir FRANK SANDERSON)asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the amount of unemployment prevailing in the seed-crushing industry and the greatly increased imports of foreign-made vegetable oils during the past six months, he will consider taking such immediate steps as are necessary to safeguard this industry?
§ Mr. RUNCIMANI have no power to impose a duty on imported vegetable oils, as they are not comprised in Class III of the Import and Export List.
