HC Deb 28 April 1931 vol 251 cc1449-50
63. Mr. HORE-BELISHA

asked the Minister of Health if he can now state when the inquiry into the existing insurance and pensions legislation will be completed?

Miss LAWRENCE

My right hon. Friend is afraid he cannot add anything to the reply which he gave to the right on. Member for West Woolwich (Sir K. Wood) on the 29th January, with regard to the work of the Cabinet Committee.

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

May I ask if this is a continuing inquiry, and if some limit could not be imposed on the time taken up by these discussions?

Miss LAWRENCE

I am afraid I cannot add anything to the answer that I have already given.

Sir K. WOOD

Is it not a fact that the inquiry has been completed, but that the Government do not like to say what has happened?

Miss LAWRENCE

I must refer the right hon. Gentleman to the answer given to him on the 29th January.
