HC Deb 30 October 1930 vol 244 c208
66. Major OWEN

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he will arrange with the Civil Service Commissioners to notify the headmasters of all central schools, county intermediate schools, and other secondary schools in Wales of all pending Civil Service vacancies and entrance examinations?

Mr. PETH I CK-LAWRENCE

The Civil Service Commission cannot undertake to send individually to every school likely to be interested notices and particulars of forthcoming examinations, which are, as the hon. and gallant Member will be aware, widely advertised in the London and provincial Press; but arrangements have been made by the Civil Service Commissioners to supply monthly to the Chief Inspector of the Central Welsh Education Board a circular containing a list of forthcoming examinations with full particulars relating thereto.
