asked the Minister of Agriculture the number of men engaged on agricultural work in Yorkshire at the present time, one year ago and five years ago?

Dr. ADDISON

The number of male workers employed in Yorkshire on agricultural holdings above one acre in extent as returned on 4th June, 1930, was 51,190, the corresponding figures for 1929 and 1925 being 53,530 and 54,197 respectively?

Has there been a decrease of over 2,000 in the last year?

Yes, of rather more than 2,000.
