§ Miss BONDFIELDOn 23rd February, 1929, the nearest date for which figures are available, the number of places provided at their centres by the Central Committee on Women's Training and Employment in courses then open or shortly to be opened was 1,524. The corresponding figure for 25th October, 1930, was 1,728.
