HC Deb 27 November 1930 vol 245 cc1491-2
61. Mr. DAY

asked the Minister of Health whether his Department is being kept fully informed as to the success or otherwise of measures for the sterilisation of mental deficients in foreign countries; and whether it is proposed to set up a committee for the purpose of investigating the question in Great Britain?

Mr. GREENWOOD

Information on this subject is received from time to time, but most of the legislation is of recent date, and I am not in a position to estimate its value. The issue is not one which can suitably be made the subject of a separate inquiry.
