§ Miss BONDFIELDAt 17th November, 1930, there were 4,632 persons on the register of the Employment Exchange at Grimsby, including 3,869 men, 149 boys, 455 women and 159 girls.
§ Mr. WOMERSLEYIn view of the big rise in the number of men unemployed in that district, will the Minister of Labour consider the question of stopping transferred labour in that area?
§ Miss BONDFIELDI am not very sure that there is any transferred labour there.
§ Mr. WOMERSLEYOh, yes there is. Is the right hon. Lady not aware that there is a great scheme of work at the 1470 moment on which a great deal of transferred labour had been brought in? Will she go into the matter, and. see if that cannot be stopped?
§ Miss BONDFIELDI cannot reconsider the conditions of a scheme which has already been started.
