HC Deb 17 November 1930 vol 245 c44
99. Dr. HASTINGS

asked the President of the Board of Education whether the medical records obtained as the result of the examination of school children when they leave school are preserved or destroyed?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Sir Charles Trevelyan)

It is left to each local education authority to decide how long they shall keep the records of medical inspections of school children; but I understand that they are generally kept for about five years after the children have left school.

Dr. HASTINGS

Does not my right hon. Friend think some use could he made of these records?

Sir C. TREVELYAN

I should be glad that it should be so.
