HC Deb 17 November 1930 vol 245 c4
4. Mr. REMER

asked the Secretary of State for India if his attention has been called to letters arriving in Manchester from India bearing a stamp, "Do not buy British goods"; and if the Government of India has taken any action on this matter?

Mr. BENN

Incidents of this kind occurred some time ago and were dealt with by the Government of India under the appropriate postal regulations.

Mr. REMER

If any cases of this kind occur in the future, will the right hon. Gentleman see that these marks are obliterated?

Mr. BENN

I have nothing to add.
