HC Deb 13 November 1930 vol 244 cc1829-30
21. Mr. GRAHAM WHITE

asked the Minister of Labour if she has information as to the present position of unemployment insurance in Germany; and, if so, if she will make it available to hon. Members to enable them to compare the working of the German system with that of our own?

Miss BONDFIELD

A translation of the German Employment Exchanges and Unemployment Insurance Act in the amended text of 12th October, 1929, is published in the "Legislative Series" of the International Labour Office. I will arrange for a copy of this translation to be placed in the Library of the House. Subsequent legislation has been summarised in the following issues of the "Ministry of Labour Gazette" for 1930, January, page 13, June, page 205, August, page 286, and October, page 364, and some further information with regard to the most recent developments will appear in the issue for November, which will be published next week. A file of the "Ministry of Labour Gazette" is in the Library.
