HC Deb 03 November 1930 vol 244 c475
76. Mr. LLEWELLYN-JONES

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he has taken any steps for the constitution of catchment boards for the River Dee and River Clwyd catchment areas; and whether, before making any orders as provided by Section 3 of the Land Drainage Act, 1930, he proposes to consult the county councils whose areas are situate within the above catchment areas?

Dr. ADDISON

The draft order constituting the River Clwyd Catchment Board and the map of the catchment area defining the main river were deposited on 10th October for a period of one month as required by the Land Drainage Act. Those County Councils whose areas are partly or wholly within the Catchment Area of the river were notified of the deposit and I am prepared to consider any representations or objections made by these bodies. The survey of the River Dee Catchment Area is not yet completed, but it is hoped to deposit the draft Order and map before the end of the year.
