HC Deb 03 November 1930 vol 244 cc475-6
72. Mr. EDE

asked the Minister of Agriculture if his attention has been called to the recommendations of the committee which inquired into questions affecting commons in 1913; if, in view of the need for legislation on many points affecting common land, he will say what action, if any, he proposes to take?

Dr. ADDISON

I have seen the Report of the Select Committee on Commons, 1913, to which I presume my hon. Friend refers, but I fear that, owing to pressure of other business, it will not be practicable during the present Session to submit proposals for giving effect to any of the recommendations of the Committee.

73. Mr. EDE

asked the Minister of Agriculture when he anticipates that the departmental committee inquiring into national parks will report?

Dr. ADDISON

The committee's progress has been delayed by pressure of more urgent business, but I hope we shall be in a position to report by the end of the year or early in the New Year.
