HC Deb 26 May 1930 vol 239 cc807-8
52 and 53. Viscount LYMINGTON

asked the Minister of Agriculture (1) whether His Majesty's Government proposes to lay before the House their policy with regard to agriculture;

(2) if he is aware of the increasing depression in agriculture in the world in general and this country in particular; and, if so, whether he proposes to take immediate steps to deal with it in this country before this season's crops are harvested?

Mr. N. BUXTON

Proposals are under consideration, but I am not yet in a position to make any announcement on the subject.

Viscount LYMINGTON

I beg to give notice that, owing to the unsatisfactory nature of the reply, I shall raise this matter on the Adjournment at the earliest possible moment.
