HC Deb 22 May 1930 vol 239 c564
40. Mr. FREEMAN

asked the Home Secretary whether the 13,040 experiments recorded in the Home Office Return of Experiments on Living Animals for 1928 as having been performed by J. G. Everett were all covered by one licence and one Certificate A; and, if so, the date of issue of that certificate?

Mr. SHORT

There appears to be some mistake in the question. The experiments recorded as performed in 1928 numbered 9,255. They were all done under one licence and certificate A, and the certificate was given in April, 1925.

Mr. FREEMAN

Is there no limit to the number of experiments on living animals which can be carried on under one certificate?

Mr. SHORT

I should require notice of that question.
