asked the Minister of Labour if she will give in round figures the number of persons on the unemployed list in the Manchester and Salford areas for the week ending 10th May, 1930, and for the comparable week of 1929?

At 12th May, 1930, there were 62,645 persons on the registers of Employment Exchanges in the Manchester and Salford areas as compared with 36,339 at 13th May, 1929.
