§ Miss BONDFIELDI presume the hon. Member refers to a report made by an officer of the Services and Establishments Department of the Ministry in the course of the ordinary duties of that Department. It would be quite contrary to practice to publish such reports, large numbers of which are made every year with regard to the various branches of the Ministry.

§ Miss BONDFIELDThe staff of the Claims and Record Office on the 1st April, 1929, numbered 2,714; on the 1st April, 1930, the number was 2,472. At each date there was in addition a cleaning staff of 64.
