HC Deb 21 May 1930 vol 239 c370
5. Mr. MARJORIBANKS

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received a report from His Majesty's Ambassador in Moscow on the subject of forced labour in the Soviet Union?

Mr. A. HENDERSON

No, Sir. I have received no report dealing specifically with this subject, although His Majesty's Ambassador at Moscow has furnished me from time to time with information on labour legislation in the Soviet Union.

Mr. MARJORIBANKS

As this matter is of great importance to our workers, especially in the timber trade, will the right hon. Gentleman cause inquiries to be made in regard to this matter?

Mr. HENDERSON

I think I will take this matter into consideration.
