HC Deb 21 May 1930 vol 239 c371
8. Commander SOUTHBY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will consider the appointment of a chaplain to the British Embassy in Russia?

Mr. A. HENDERSON

No, Sir. I do not feel called upon to consider such a suggestion at present.

Commander SOUTHBY

Can the right hon. Gentleman say why the question should be treated differently in the embassy during the Soviet Government from what it was in the embassy during the Tsarist Government?

Mr. HENDERSON

No, I have nothing more to add.
