HC Deb 14 May 1930 vol 238 c1869
46. Sir G. PENNY

asked the Prime Minister whether any decision has yet been come to as to when the Trade Disputes Bill will be introduced?

Mr. ALEXANDER

My right hon. Friend asks me to express, to the hon. Member and to the House, his regret that urgent business prevents him from attending here to-day. In reply to the hon. Member's question, I would refer him to the answer which the Prime Minister gave on Thursday last in reply to a question by the hon. Member for Colchester (Mr. O. Lewis).

Sir G. PENNY

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether it has occurred to the Prime Minister or his Ministers that it may, perhaps, be inadvisable, after all, to proceed with this Measure?
