HC Deb 14 May 1930 vol 238 c1859
11. Mr. SHAKESPEARE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will lay papers with reference to recent correspondence between himself, the Vatican, and the Prime Minister of Malta?

Mr. DALTON

Yes, Sir. Papers will be laid shortly, as I informed my hon. Friend the Member for Shoreditch (Mr. Thurtle) on Monday last.

Mr. THURTLE

Can the hon. Gentleman say when these Papers will be laid?

Mr. DALTON

I hope next week, but it will be necessary for my right hon. Friend to return before he can give his approval. [Interruption]. It is so obvious to hon. Members, that I must apologise for mentioning it. It will be necessary before publication, for my right hon. Friend to give his approval to the final revise of the White Paper which is now being prepared at the Foreign Office.
