HC Deb 07 May 1930 vol 238 c951
39. Mr. HORRABIN

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Report on the recent disturbances in Nigeria will be published; and, if so, whether it will include the evidence tendered to the commission of inquiry?

Dr. SHIELS

The Commission which was appointed by the Governor has just concluded taking evidence, and its Report is not likely to be ready for some time. I assume that it will be published by the Colonial Government, but the question whether the evidence should be published is one for subsequent decision. The hon. Member's inquiry will be brought to the notice of the Governor.
