§ Sir C. TREVELYANA large number of the girls in public elementary schools already receive instruction in domestic subjects during their last years at school, and the schemes of reorganisation now being carried out will lead to a considerable further increase in the facilities for 1480 this work. Arrangements already exist in many areas for placing girls in employment, either through the juvenile employment bureaux of the local education authorities or through the Employment Exchanges of the Ministry of Labour.
§ Mr. ISAACSIf anything is done in this connection, will the right hon. Gentleman ascertain as to the suitability of the households by inquiring of previous servants?
