asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the committee of inquiry into intellectual co-operation has been set up, as recommended by the Assembly of the League of Nations; and if he can give the names of the members of the said committee?

The Committee of inquiry has now been set up and will meet on the 14th April next, and with my hon. Friend's permission I will circulate a list of the members composing it.

Following is the list of members:

M. J. Casares, Member of the Spanish Royal Academy.

Dr. S. Duggan, Director of the Institute of International Education, New York.

Sir Frank Heath, Secretary of the Universities Bureau of the Empire, London.

Dr. H. A. Kruss, Director of the State Library, Berlin.

M. de Reynold, Professor at the University of Berne.

M. A. Rocco, Professor at the University of Borne.

M. Roland-Marcel, Administrator-General of the National Library, Paris.
