asked the Postmaster-General, to what extent new telephone services have been installed during the past financial year?

The ASSISTANT POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Viant)

During the year ended the 31st March, 1930, 182 new telephone exchanges were opened, 6,009 new call offices were established, and the number of telephones was increased by 127,469 to 1,882,110.
