HC Deb 05 June 1930 vol 239 c2373
60. Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Minister of Health whether he can announce any further steps taken or to be taken to deal with the nuisance caused by the dumping of rubbish and garbage by certain local authorities or their contractors in the open country, especially in the rural districts around London?

Mr. GREENWOOD

The report of the Departmental Committee on London Cleansing which has been considering this question has now been submitted and will be published as soon as possible.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

Can the right hon. Gentleman assure me that very active steps are being taken to deal with this terrible nuisance?

Mr. GREENWOOD

I said before that I really must see the report first.
