§ 17. Mr. LEACHasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if his attention has been drawn by the Bradford Chamber of Commerce to a lawsuit entered by a Bradford firm against a firm in Monza, Italy, in 1925, in which final judgment has been delayed by various means, and to the further fact that the defendant firm is now seeking to make an arrangement with its creditors from which the claim of 1755 the Bradford firm is excluded; and will he use his good offices to secure an acceleration of the final judgment?
Mr. A. HENDERSONThis case was brought to my notice by the Bradford Chamber of Commerce in March last, and instructions were sent to His Majesty's Ambassador at Rome to institute inquiries. The case is still sub judice, and it is, therefore, not possible for His Majesty's Government to intervene at present.
