HC Deb 02 June 1930 vol 239 c1738
47. Sir G. PENNY

asked the Prime Minister what steps, if any, he intends taking to forward the development of inter-Imperial trade?

The PRIME MINISTER

This really is not a matter which can be dealt with by question and answer at this time of the business of the House. The subject has been referred to frequently and the Government's action explained during debates on unemployment?

Sir G. PENNY

Does the right hon. Gentleman intend to take any notice of the recommendations of the Economic Committee of the Trades Union Council urging that it should be done at the earliest possible opportunity?

The PRIME MINISTER

That, and everything else, will be very carefully considered.
