(by Private Notice) asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what the present position is with reference to the ratification of the London Naval Treaty in respect of the United Kingdom?

The instrument of ratification has been signed by the King and will be deposited simultaneously with His Majesty's ratifications in respect of the Dominions and of India and the ratifications of the United States and Japan when all parties to Part III of the Treaty are in a position to bring the Treaty into force in accordance with Article 24, paragraph 2.
