HC Deb 30 July 1930 vol 242 cc504-5
Sir LAMING WORTHINGTONEVANS

May I put a question to the Prime Minister in regard to the business to be taken to-day? I understand that it will meet the convenience of those who sit on this side of the House and of those on the other side of the House if the Army Estimates, Vote 12, can be taken before the Post Office Vote and the Office of Works Vote. If we can agree to that course, it will be necessary for the Prime Minister to move that Resolutions I and II be taken after we have disposed of Vote 12 of the Army Estimates.

The PRIME MINISTER

I shall be very glad to make an arrangement in that respect. The necessary Motion will be mace by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury.

Ordered, That the Proceedings on Government Business be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House); and that, if the first four Resolutions reported from the Committee of Supply of the 29th July shall have been agreed to before Ten of the Clock, Mr. Speaker shall proceed to put forthwith the Questions which he is directed to put at Ten of the clock, under paragraph 8 of Standing Order No. 15."— [The Prime Minister.]
