Major GRAHAM POLEasked the Secretary of State for India whether he is now in a position to make a statement in regard to the attitude of the Government concerning the recommendation of the Indian Sandhurst Committee that suitable Indian students of British universities should be granted direct commissions in the Army, and that therefore the reopening of the Officers' Training Corps at the British universities should be proposed, any expense incurred in, such a step being borne, if necessary, by the Government of India?
