§ 59 and 60. Mr. HORE-BELISHAasked the First Lord of the Admiralty (1) when the evidence taken by and the report of the committee of inquiry into the mate scheme will be published;
(2) what method of inquiry is being adopted for obtaining the views of ex-mate and flag and commanding officers on the defects of the mate scheme; whether the committee is to visit the home ports and take evidence; and whether he will issue an Admiralty Fleet Order on the subject and include in it the composition of the committee and its terms of reference?
Mr. ALEXANDERI will note the suggestions of the hon. Member in these two questions, but I would rather not commit myself at present, as the names of those who will serve on the committee have not been finally settled.
