ADAMSONTravelling facilities for school children are provided by education authorities under section 4 of the Education (Scotland) Act, 1918, or under sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Education (Scotland) Act, 1908, as amended by paragraph 5 (a) of the 1081 Fifth Schedule of the Education (Scotland) Act, 1918, and section 4 of the Education (Scotland) Act, 1925. The powers of education authorities under these sections of the Acts are not limited to the provision of travelling expenses and I regret that the available statistics do not enable me to separate the expenditure on this service from the related expenditure incurred under the same sections of the Acts referred to.
§ Mr. TRAINWould it not be possible for the right hon. Gentleman to get some particulars on this score. The question merely asks what is the cost of these travelling facilities. I am not doubting that it is in order—
