asked the President of the Board of Trade whether it is the intention of His Majesty's Government to advise His Majesty in Council to make an order to vary the terms of 41 the Treaty of Peace Order, 1919, as amended, so as to incorporate the terms of the agreement between His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom and the German Government in regard to the liquidation of German properties (Miscellaneous No. 3, 1930, White Paper Cmd. 3486)?

The question raised by the hon. and gallant Member has been considered, and I am advised that no amendment of the Treaty of Peace Order, 1919, is necessary in order to give effect to the Agreement in regard to the liquidation of German properties.
