63. Mr. FRANK OWENasked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in view of the expressed intention of arable farmers to curtain the employment of labour on their land, he will now make a statement of the policy of the Government towards the import of foreign produce?
§ Mr. N. BUXTONI am not aware that arable farmers generally have expressed the intention to which the hon. Member refers. As regards the latter part of the question, I have nothing to add to statements I have already made on the subject.
Mr. OWENI beg to give notice that, in view of the unsatisfactory answer, I shall raise this question on the Adjournment at the earliest possible moment.
