HC Deb 03 December 1930 vol 245 c2192
3. Commander SOUTHBY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is now in a position to state what progress, if any, has been made in the negotiations regarding the claim for the payment of interest on the bonds of the city of Vilna?

Mr. A. HENDERSON

I understand that the negotiations are still in progress; but I regret that, according to my latest information, no satisfactory settlement has yet been reached.

Commander SOUTHBY

If I put a question down in a month's time, or after the Recess, will the right hon. Gentleman be able to give me a reply?

Mr. HENDERSON

I can only say for the information of the hon. and gallant Member that the position is a little more favourable, but how long it will last, I cannot say.
