Mr. HOPKINasked the President of the Board of Trade if his attention has been called to the state of the foreshore near Ferryside and Llanstephan, Carmarthenshire, with regard tc the ferry landing stages; and if he will inquire into this matter with a view to the ferry service being made effective at all states of the tide?
§ Mr. W. GRAHAMI have been informed of the present position, but I am afraid that I have no power to compel the lessees of the sites of the stages to make the ferry service effective. The question of the need from the point of view of the public for an improved ferry service appears to be one for the local authorities.
