HC Deb 02 April 1930 vol 237 cc1281-2
26. Captain BOURNE (for Mr. TINNE)

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies the cost of administering the government of St. Kitts-Nevis, and Antigua; and how is it met?

Dr. SHIELS

With the hon. Member's permission, I propose to send him copies of the approved Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure of Antigua and St. Kitts-Nevis for the year 1929–30. The Estimates for the year 1930–31 have not yet been approved. These Estimates will show the anticipated yield of the local taxes out of which the expenses of the Governments are met.
