§ 49. Colonel CLIFTON BROWNasked the Prime Minister if he will afford facilities for the Agricultural Wages (Regulation) Act (1924) Amendment Bill this Session?
§ Mr. P. SNOWDENI am afraid that the pressure of public business is such that the answer must be in the negative.
§ Mr. SNOWDENOh, no. The hon. and gallant Member must not do anything of the sort. The answer simply says that it is a question of want of time.
Colonel BROWNIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that the Bill is not opposed on this side of the House, and that therefore, unless the Government side oppose it, it would not take five minutes to go through?
§ Mr. LEESCan the right hon. Gentleman give us any information why the last Government did not interfere with the 1924 Act themselves?
