HC Deb 11 November 1929 vol 231 c1530
68. Sir K. WOOD

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether he has received any communication from any of the Dominions in relation to the right of appeal to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council?

Mr. PONSONBY

The answer is in the negative.

Sir W. DAVISON

Has the hon. Gentleman seen a number of recent statements by Ministers of the Irish Free State saying that they could not recognise the authority of the Privy Council to set aside judgments of the Irish Courts?

Mr. PONSONBY

That in no way alters my reply.
