28. Captain PETER MACDONALD

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Soviet Government accept the view of the British Government that the Communist International is an organ of the former Government?

Mr. A. HENDERSON

I have nothing to add to the statement on this matter which I made to the House on the 5th November.

Captain EDEN

Has the right hon. Gentleman observed that the Soviet Government have something to add?

Sir WILLIAM DAVISON

Has the attention of the right hon. Gentleman been drawn to an official statement made by the Soviet Government on Saturday in Moscow that it was idle to suggest that the Government should be responsible for the Third International, which was a purely private organisation?

Mr. HENDERSON

I have already answered that question this afternoon.
