§ The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Pethick-Lawrence)The total amount of contracts entered into under the Export Credits Guarantee Scheme between 8th June and 2nd November is £1,888,192. The power to give guarantees under the former Trade Facilities Acts expired on 31st March, 1927.
§ Mr. ALBERYCan the hon. Gentleman say whether the Government are satisfied or disappointed so far with these results?
§ Mr. PETHICK-LAWRENCEAs regards the new Development (Loan Guarantees and Grants) Act, the Lord Privy Seal stated yesterday that the schemes sanctioned to date amounted to £7,000,000 and that they were all on the grant of interest basis.
