HC Deb 06 May 1929 vol 227 c1944
25. Mr. R. MORRISON

asked the Minister of Health whether he has now decided to publish the adult section of the Mental Deficiency Report; and when it will be available?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of HEALTH (Sir Kingsley Wood)

I would refer the hon. Member to my right hon. Friend's statement in Debate on the 1st May, in which he said that the Report in question is having his personal consideration, and that he hopes to be able to make a decision in regard to its publication before very long.

Mr. MORRISON

If I put down a question again, will the right hon. Gentleman be able to make a statement?

Sir K. WOOD

Perhaps the hon. Gentleman will put down another question.

29. Mr. MORRISON

asked the President of the Board of Education whether he is now able to state the intentions of the Board towards the Mental Deficiency Report; and whether, with regard to the recommendations which do not require legislation, he proposes to take any administrative action before the close of the present Parliament?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Lord Eustace Percy)

The Report is receiving my careful attention, but local education authorities and other bodies concerned must also have time to consider its recommendations before any proposals for action upon them can usefully be discussed.
