§ Sir A. CHAMBERLAINAccording to Article 429 of the Treaty of Versailles, the Coblenz zone is due to be evacuated on 10th January, 1930, if the conditions of the Treaty are faithfully carried out by Germany. As at present advised, I have no reason to suppose that Germany will not fulfil this requirement, and in these circumstances there is no need to enter upon negotiations with a view to fix the date for the evacuation of this section of the occupied territory of Germany.
