HC Deb 22 July 1929 vol 230 cc912-3
78. Mr. HAMMERSLEY

asked the Minister of Labour whether she is aware that the administration of the Stockport Employment Exchange has become harsh and unjust during the last month; and whether she will give immediate instructions to the officials to conduct then-duties with less administrative harshness?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of LABOUR (Mr. Lawson)

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. The second part, therefore, does not arise.

Mr. HAMMERSLEY

Is the hon. Gentleman aware that the question refers to an alteration in the personnel of the Exchange during the last month, and, if I bring details to his notice, will he look into them immediately?

Mr. LAWSON

I am not aware of the point put by the hon. Member, but, if he brings details to my notice, I shall be pleased to have them investigated.
