Mr. ROBERTS

The total number of final awards made in the six months ending 30th June last was 24,677. The number of pensioners now receiving final awards of life pension is about 390,000. During the past two years, 7,529 appeals have been made to the Assessment Appeal Tribunals. The arrangements which I was enabled to make five years ago for the correction of serious errors of final award are still in operation.
