HC Deb 18 April 1929 vol 227 cc411-2
53. Mr. SCRYMGEOUR

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has now received a joint communication from the Dundee Harbour Trust and the Dundee Shipowners' and Shipbrokers' Association making further representations concerning recent restrictions in telegraph facilities at Dundee; and, if so, whether he will reconsider the matter, with a view to meeting the requirements of the shipping community?

Viscount WOLMER

I have received the communication to which the hon. Member refers. The representations which it contains are receiving consideration, and I will reply to them as soon as possible.

Mr. SCRYMGEOUR

Will the Noble Lord expressly consider the suggestion as to the telephone service conducting the telegraph service, seeing that he has his telephone operators available during the night?

Viscount WOLMER

Certainly, I will consider it.
