HC Deb 18 April 1929 vol 227 c411
52. Lieut.-Colonel ACLAND-TROYTE

asked the Postmaster-General what extra cost would be incurred if full facilities were supplied at the post office at Christow, near Exeter; and what conditions it is necessary to fulfil before such facilities are granted?

The ASSISTANT POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Viscount Wolmer)

The cost of extending money order and licence business to Christow would be small, but. I am informed that the expectations of additional business at this office are too slight to justify any extension at present.

Lieut.-Colonel ACLAND-TROYTE

In view of the fact that this cost would be so small, will my Noble Friend reconsider his decision, as this post office serves several other parishes as well as Christow?

Viscount WOLMER

I should be very glad to go into the matter fully with my hon. and gallant Friend.
