HALLasked the Prime Minister whether, as a preliminary to any further discussion of the question of naval disarmament by the League of Nations, the Government will consider inviting the French and American Governments to participate in a conference with Great Britain on the subject so far as it concerns their respective countries?
§ The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Baldwin)His Majesty's Government are carefully considering what steps can usefully be taken to promote agreement with regard to the further limitation of naval armaments. I doubt whether the specific expedient suggested by my hon. and gallant Friend would be likely to attain the object which he has in view.
